Plywood or Particle Board
plywood is a widely recognized engineered wood-based panel product that has been used in construction.Plywood panels with great stiffness properties, strength and dimensional stability and superior strength-to-weight ratio. They are also have highly resistant to impact damage, chemicals, and changes in temperature and relative humidity.
Plywood panels manufactured for structural applications are built up from multiple layers or plywoods of softwood veneer, Plywood can be used as both a structural sheathing and a finish cladding. For exterior applications, plywoods are available in a broad range of patterns and textures for choice.
Plywood is in a wide variety of appearance grades, ranging from smooth, natural surfaces suitable for finish work to more economical unsanded grades used for sheathing. Plywood is available in more than a dozen common thicknesses and over twenty different grades.
Particle Board
Particle board has its own advantages, including greater dimensional stability: it does not warp due to temperature fluctuations and other changes in the environment. Plywood is expensive than particle board because particle board is often made of scraps of wood that are considered waste.
The quality of plywood depends on the number of plies and the thickness of the wood.Particle board quality depends on the size of the particles that make it up, the glue that holds it together, and the density of the board.
plywood is superior to particle board in many ways, it is usually the better choice if cost is not an issue.
